How many NYC Tesla owners hate this guy?

Spied while on a business trip to midtown this week. Every model S I saw had a personal tag but this workman E350 has the crown jewel.

I was thinking about this recently.

One thing that always strikes me about Teslas is that they all feel so devoid of personality. Not like general personality of the model, but there’s this palpable sense of homogeneity between individual Model Ses that I don’t get from any other car make or model. I’m convinced that owners pick up on this as well and that’s why every single one has a personal plate.

Now that you mention it they do lack a presence in person. Only time a Tesla really captured my eye on the street it was wearing a lotus track suit. Maybe they don’t all have vanity tags and the ones without just don’t get seen.

The only time I ever really noticed a Model S was the first time I saw one, and even then, it didn’t even register with me until I saw it suddenly go from highway speeds to much faster in a way that made it look like every other car simply stopped moving.

I don’t think there’s a single other car that has that kind of incredible power but still makes me feel complete and utter apathy.
